A message came in to the ADogs inbox tonight about a dog found earlier in the day:
"A woman stopped by Banneker CCA this evening with a dog that she found earlier (about 4PM I think) today, 2 Dec, on Tuckahoe. The dog is named Buffy and has New York tags. Call 703 629 6820 if you have information on the owner."
Santa Paws pet photos will be at Reston Town Center on Saturday, 12/7 and Saturday, 12/14, from 2-6 pm. All well-behaved pets are welcome. Visits with Santa are free; you can also buy photos of your pooch with Santa, and bows and antlers will be available for putting those final touches on your doggy. The Humane Society of the US is holding PetFest America on January 19, 2003. Tickets go on sale this week (Dec. 6) for this day of fun and entertainment that includes Superdogs (a troupe of canine performers), info from veterinarians, a chance to see the FEMA disaster dogs who help in disasters ranging from 9/11 to hurricanes and other natural disasters. You will also get a chance to meet some of the adoptable pets currently in local animal shelters, waiting for new homes. More info is at www.petfestamerica.org
