ANNOUNCEMENTS/NEWS
ArlingtonDogs Members!
Three events are coming up which should be important to you:
1. On May 14, ArlingtonDogs is sponsoring an entry into the Neighborhood Day Parade. If you’d like to join us, with or without your dog, please meet us at 1:45 PM on 13th Street North between North Ivy Street and North Irving Street. We’re entry #55. The parade begins at 2 PM and proceeds from the Clarendon metro stop to the Courthouse metro stop. It's great fun!
2. On May 16, ArlingtonDogs will hold our annual organizational meeting and election. This meeting will be held at the upstairs community room at Firehouse #9 on South Walter Reed Drive at 7:00 PM. Only dues-paying members can vote. Have YOU renewed your membership?
3. On May 21, the last of the Public Spaces Master Plan community meetings is taking place at 10 AM to noon at the Fairlington Community Center, Room 10, 3308 South Stafford Street. If you want to see more and better community canine areas included in the plan, come and speak to show your interest. If you can’t attend the Public Spaces Master Plan community meeting on May 21st, send your comments to the following address by May 27th: prcr@arlingtonva.us. Don't forget... County officials committed years ago to include the Countywide Dog Exercise Standards to the Open Space Master Plan when it was next revised. Well, now is that time.
Become involved. Only YOU can help keep Arlington parks available to Arlingtonians and their canine companions!
